Why do I need to do the Drive to Survive course before the Advanced or High Performance course?
If you have never had any professional driver training then you may have been developing some bad habits over those years of your driving life. Some of these habits may not only interfere with your ability to get the most from your driver training experience with John Bowe Driving but they may be dangerous and contribute to incidents that put yourself, our instructors, other participants and your vehicle at risk.
The Drive to Survive defensive driving course, although the first level in our course range, is by no means basic. It will introduce many of the basic skills and behaviors to develop optimum driving techniques.
You will appreciate the benefits that the Drive to Survive course will provide as you will get much more from your next levels of training after gaining the awareness and understanding of the techniques introduced. You will also appreciate the benefits that the Drive to Survive course will bring to your everyday driving - it is a valuable life skill that you will learn.
We have heard all of the stories before;
- I have been driving for years and not had many accidents......
- I have a friend who has been on the track and I went and watched him so I know what to do......
- I have raced go-karts (hire karts).......
- I have a performance car and I have given it some stick around the back streets.......
- My parents have taught me everything about driving.......
Please understand that none of the above reasons is acceptable to jump straight onto a race track at full speed.
