Motor Racing Licence

John Bowe Driving has been chosen to conduct CAMS Observed Licence Testing (OLT) for National Rally level licening in Victoria.

Successfully completing the OLT and being issued with a NR Licence is the minimum requirement to going racing at events such as Mount Buller Sprint, Targa Tasmania and the like. Before attempting the OLT, prospective licencees must have completed the CAMS Driver Lecture and obtained a medical certificate, contact CAMS Member Services on phone: 1300 653529 for further details. After completing the adminstration items from CAMS Member Services you will be issued with a 'pre-licence authority' which you will need to bring along to your OLT.     

For OLT assessment you will need to attend one of the John Bowe Driving High Performance courses. This course is usually a training program however as you are applying for a racing licence we will be assessing you with a pass/fail outcome. The advantage of doing your OLT as a part of our High Performance course is that you will have plenty of one on one feedback during the day along with direct tuition to help you to improve and hopefully successfully complete your OLT.   

John Bowe Driving uses a number of experienced race drivers as instructors to observe and make suggestions, if necessary, during the OLT. The instructors will confer at the end the end of the day to decide whether an applicant has successfully completed their OLT.
