John Bowe Driving is an Australian owned and operated business involving multi-Australian racing champion John Bowe, his brother Terry and professional driver trainer David Cuff.
 

John Bowe Driving was established in 1997 with a view to improving the safety of all vehicle users. After 20 years of top level competition driving, John was still disappointed at the competency level of drivers that he faced, not on the racetrack but on our Australian roads each day. This is not referring to fast driving, but simply a basic understanding and awareness of driving safely so individuals do not endanger themselves or fellow road users. 

Unfortunately the basic test which is required to obtain a driving licence falls well short of teaching what we at John Bowe Driving believe are the necessary skills and behaviours for a defensive driver to avoid or minimize potential crashes. This is clearly evident in the unproportional representation of young drivers as crash victims, yet they should be viewed as being our most trained drivers having only recently passed their driving examination. 

Regrettably, for most drivers, once they receive their licence only a small percentage ever enrol for further training to improve or refresh their driving skills. Another problem facing our community is the scant attention paid towards the necessary change in attitude by all drivers if the level, frequency and severity of injuries and deaths on our roads are to be reduced.

A major component of John Bowe Driving is our focus on corporate relationships and driver training program event management. Currently we have a team of over 25 professional instructors around Australia training over 2,500 clients each year. Our services extend beyond the provision of driver training. For example, our corporate programs provide follow up consultation regarding fleet purchase considerations, and management of problem staff with regard to driving behaviour.
